Founded over ten years ago Bereaved by Suicide has evolved over time into a support group for bereaved parents, run by parents for parents. We are based in Farnborough – Hampshire and offer friendship and support to other parents who have lost a son or daughter to suicide.

Daisy’s Dream
Daisy’s Dream supports children and their families both facing and following bereavement throughout Berkshire and the surrounding areas. The death of a significant person in a child’s life can be devistating and difficult to understand. We offer advice to families, professionals and anyone concerned about a grieving child.
Dragonflies Bereavement Project
Dragonflies is an exciting innovative project that has been developed to support children and young people aged 5-18 years who have been or are in the process of being bereaved in the Hastings and Rother area.
Based on the Winston’s Wish model of delivery Dragonflies aim to offer positive forward looking sessions to help children and young people take steps along their personal bereavement journeys.
Eden’s Trust
Eden’s Trust was set up in memory of Eden who tragically lost her life in 2006 whilst on holiday abroad.
The charity is based in Essex and is running ten weekguided therapy programmes for parents, called Begin to Heal. These programmes are led by highly skilled counsellors and psychotherapists. The programmes empower grieving parents to help themselves and to help others by giving them the tools to strengthen their family and friendships, which so often are ripped apart after the loss of a child. The Begin to Heal approach provides parents with the skills and information they can use in their lives to begin to recover from their loss and to live again – albeit differently.
Eden’s Trust also provides monthly drop-in groups. The Healing Place, which gives parents the chance to share their experiences and to receive and give support to others who have suffered the loss of a child. The Healing Place was set up because participants who had attended the Begin to Heal workshops felt there needed to be some kind of continuation of the work we were doing. They felt safe in an environment where others understood exactly how they were feeling – and they wanted that support to continue. It would be a wonderful world if our children did not die before us – but sadly – that is not the realityfor many of us.

Grieving Parents Support Group
The Grieving Parents Support Group is a registered charity based in Oxford. It is dedicated to supporting grieving parents after the death of a child.
Available 24 hours a day – 7 days a week the charitiy depends on donations and fund raising activities.

HBBS – Havering and Brentwood Bereavement Service
We are a local non profit making registered charity, which since 1989 has been offering professional and confidential counselling to adults and more recently children who are struggling to come to terms with bereavement or loss. We service the community in Havering, Brentwood, Basildon, Wickford, Laindon Pitsea and Billericay, and have counselling rooms in Hornchurch – Brentwood and Vange.
We are run by three part time paid members of staff at our offices in Hornchurch, and have fourteen volunteer counsellors who work out of counselling rooms in Hornchurch, Brentwood and Basildon. All our counsellors are carefully selected, having qualified at diploma or degree standard, or may be in the final stages of working for these qualifications under close supervision.
We service the communities in Havering, Brentwood, Basildon, Wickford, Laindon Pitsea, Billericay and Dagenham

Harrow Bereavement Care
Our team of trained volunteers are here to support adults and children in the London Borough of Harrow and surrounding areas who have been affected by a death – regardless of when the death occured. Our service is free and entirely confidential.
Harry’s Rainbow
Harry’s Rainbow was set up in memory of Harry who died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2009.
We are a registered charity, No. 1149011. We provide support and information via our website as well as providing help, support and resources as part of organised trips, events and monthly group for bereaved children and families in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
Help in Bereavement
The organization offers a visiting service covering Portsmouth – Fareham – Gosport – Havant – Emsworth – Hayling Island and North to Waterlooville – Cosham – Paulsgrove – Wymering – Cowplain and Horndean.
Help in Bereavement was founded in 1979 as a response to the perceived needs of those suffering the grief – loneliness and social isolation caused by losing someone they love.
Help in Bereavement recognizes we are all individuals with differing needs. Our Visitors – many of whom have suffered bereavement themselves – are especially trained to recognize the needs of the bereaved – regardless of when the bereavement happened.
Kingston Bereavement Service
Kingston Bereavement Service is a registered charity providing support and counselling to anyone who lives – works or studies in the Borough of Kingston upon Thames. Set up in 1988 – individual and group counselling is available to anyone having difficulty coping or adjusting to the loss of someone close to them.
Kingston Bereavement Service also runs Saying Goodbye Project providing bereavement support to children and young people – and advice and information to their parents/carers – schools and anyone working with them.
Kingston Bereavement Service provides training – tailor-made workshops and consultancy to any professional group working with adults and children who have been bereaved.

Milton Keynes Bereavement Service
Milton Keynes Bereavement Service has been supporting the local community through bereavement for over 20 years. The Milton Keynes Bereavement Project began in 1979 with twelve volunteers, trained to support people who had been bereaved. It has grown, both in reputation and in the range of support offered, to become the MK Bereavement Service.
All our Volunteers take an Initial Bereavement training course and undergo regular on-going training.
Momentum
Momentum is a registered charity established in 2004 which aims to help children (up to the age of 17) and the families of children, undergoing treatment for cancer in Surrey and South West London. Momentum was set up by parents who have first hand experience of these life-changing events, with the simple goal of trying to help others in similar circumstances.
Momentum assists children undergoing treatment and their families in the following ways:
- Through the provision of equipment and the improvement of the facilities in local hospitals, where children undergoing cancer treatment will typically spend prolonged periods. Currently we are working with the Paediatric Department at Kingston Hospital.
- By organising events at which children with cancer and their siblings have the opportunity to meet with other children who share their circumstances.
- By offering mutual support for parents and families.
Momentum is currently supporting children who are undergoing treatment at Kingston Hospital, St. George’s Hospital in Tooting, St. Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, West Mids Hospital in Isleworth and The Royal Marsden Hospital in Surrey.

The Rainbow Trust
Many families find contact with people who knew their child and who can understand some of what they are going through can be genuinely helpful as they cope with the grieving process. We know that every family will cope with bereavement in a way that is right for them, therefore we aim to offer support that is flexible to individual needs and that reflects the culture and values of the individual.
Sebastian’s Action Trust
We understand the utter devastation that comes with the loss of a child or young person, which is why we offer support through our association with Reflections, a group for bereaved families.
We offer an annual service of remembrance and thanksgiving, a weekend away for bereaved families and opportunities to meet other bereaved parents and siblings, in the knowledge that only those who have experienced such tragedy can truly understand the depths of such loss.
SeeSaw
SeeSaw helps children and their families both before and after a major bereavement, helping them to move forward and to face the future with hope. We can give advice to parents and carers, teachers and other professionals, and young people themselves. We also provide a tailored service to meet young people or their parents in person. Our service is free and confidential.
